MapleStory contains 90 million registered player accounts world wide. 6 Million we're made in the U.S. making it popular nearby! It is Nexon's biggest and popular game! The game is about you making a character, who is able to battle monsters, do quests, meet friends, and hangout! This game has a level cap of 200 (cyngus knights 120) Their are different job classes you can pick at level 8 and 10. Each class has different skills used to battle monsters. Each class has its pros and cons and can each wear certain armor and weapons. There are over 10 classes in the game and growing!
*Hint: When a Player Picks his or her class, it can never be changed back. For example, if my Mapelstory character (Zoopliss) picked a warrior, he can never have the chance to change to a Magican during the game.
Now don't be fooled, once you get your class, you have different job advancments. Basacally, job advancments mean new skils. Each job advancement is unlocked at different levels, 30, 70, and 120 to be exact.
The game contains many many many maps. Hundreds of monsters to battle. Countless quests. Event quests monthly. Boss monsters, etc. There is just too much to do in this game.
Player Positives.
Players are able to trade each other coins (mesos) items, etc. There is a mega trade base i nthe game called the the Free Market. Players are able to sell their items in there by NPC (computer based players) where other players can view it, or if you would rather go with the classic shouting and trade in public selling or buying, thats fine too.
Also able to follow players, add them in friends, parties, families, and guilds. Players are also enabled to marry another player the opposite sex.
Player Downsides
Adding players can be a pain, friends list is limited until upgraded. Leveling up takes much much longer at levels over 100. Lots of scams have been reported on this game.
What else to know about Mapelstory?
NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER give out your USERNAMER, PASSWORD, PIN, EMAIL, BIRTHDATE, REAL NAME, or any other personal information. I capatlitzed that to get your attention because hundreds of players have made this mistake and have resulted in hacked accounts. Don't go down that road, if other players have that info, they are able to access your account, trade your items away to their other players, or even get your account banned. So, lets be safe, and so NO to giving away ANY PERSONAL ACCOUNT SHARING!
Cash Shop!
This game IS free to play, but sooner or later most players want to look "cool" with awesome over tops over armor, weapons, and want pets. This is availible but you will need to spend some real quaility cash. Cash shop is where your player can buy clothes that can over top your armor, weapon over tops, hair styles, pets/pet gear, NPC sellings, etc. Lots of adding to the cash shop happens weekly and there are often discounts! This isn't a need in the game, this game IS free to play, but nexon makes its money by cash shop, which many players use.
